First post on the new site.  Eventually, I’ll be moving my domain name - and whatever else I can bring from the old site - over here.  But for now, just wanted to get started with some posts; I’ve begun production on the next album, and thought this would be as good a time as any to start blogging about the process.

This is probably the luckiest date of all time if you’re Chinese and superstitious: 08/08/08.  You can’t get any luckier than that.  It’s hard to believe China was able to score the Olympics this year and hold the opening ceremonies today.  How long did it take to execute that plan??  Decades?  Or was it just a lot of incredible luck?  It reminds me of my old neighbor, who kept naming his dogs Henry.  After so many years, and so many dogs, they finally got to Henry VIII.  It makes you wonder if they thought of these things ahead of time.  Lots of folks gettin married today, cause of the date.  That’s awesome, although they can forget about using their anniversary date for any passwords.

I wish I could say I have big plans for 08/08/08, but it looks like just another ordinary day for me.  On the other hand, it’s awesome cause I’m getting to work on music today (been programming drums most of the morning).  

And after all, every day I get to work on music is a damn lucky one.
